Static QR codes do not expire themselves, but links may stop working. Keep sufficient contrast and scan-test before printing. QR rendering library loads from CDN.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Choose the content type and enter text, an absolute web URL, email address or Wi-Fi details.
  2. Set colors, image size, error correction and a quiet zone of at least four modules.
  3. Generate, inspect or copy the payload and export PNG or SVG. Scan-test the actual exported image before use.

When to use this tool

Create a QR code for a URL, Wi-Fi configuration or short text. Keep an adequate quiet zone and contrast, and test the exported image with the intended scanner before printing.

Quiet zones and error correction affect scanning

A quiet zone leaves empty modules around the symbol so a scanner can identify its edges. PNG output aligns modules to integer pixels; SVG contains vector paths. Higher error correction consumes capacity. A larger image cannot compensate for low contrast, excessive content or an unsuitable print surface.

Worked example

URL payload: https://example.test/docs
Quiet zone: 4 modules
Export: vector SVG for scalable placement

Limits and output checks

QR capacity depends on the UTF-8 payload and selected error correction, so the character cap is not a promise that every payload fits. Wi-Fi codes contain the network password in reversible form. The preview is generated locally using a loaded QR library.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SVG a bitmap inside an SVG wrapper?

No. Dark modules are represented by vector paths.

Is a Wi-Fi QR password encrypted?

No. Anyone who can scan the code can read its payload. Share it only with intended users.

Can I inspect the encoded text?

Yes. The payload field and Copy payload button expose the exact successfully generated content.
