Setting up your conversion…
Pick a date and time, choose your source zone, and add target zones to convert to.

When to use this calculator
Compare a proposed meeting time across several cities on a specific date. Check daylight-saving offsets and resolve a repeated source time explicitly; use zone identifiers rather than relying on an ambiguous abbreviation.
Review the worked example and assumptions below, then use the supported report or copy controls to keep the result with its inputs. Calculations run in this browser; a shared URL can include the values you entered.
How to use Time Zone Converter
- Choose the source zone and enter a local date and time.
- Add target zones, then choose earlier or later if the source time occurs twice.
- Review the date in every destination, including previous-day or next-day changes.
A wall-clock time is not always unique
When clocks move forward, some local times do not exist. When clocks move back, some occur twice. This converter rejects nonexistent source times and lets you choose the earlier or later instant for an overlap. Target offsets come from the browser's IANA time-zone database for the selected instant.
Worked example
2025-01-15 12:00 UTC
Asia/Kolkata: 17:30 on January 15
America/New_York: 07:00 on January 15Assumptions and limits
Time-zone law changes can outpace a browser's database; update your browser and verify critical schedules. Minute precision. Source dates are restricted to years 1900–2100. Abbreviations are display labels, not unique zone identifiers. Gap times are rejected instead of shifted silently.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a source time rejected during a DST change?
A forward clock change can skip that local time entirely. Choose an existing time before or after the gap.
What does earlier or later mean?
During a backward clock change the same local time can map to two UTC instants. Select the earlier or later occurrence.
Does this use today's UTC offset for future dates?
No. It asks the browser for the offset at the selected instant, including its available daylight-saving rules.
Convert a scheduled local time between named zones
Choose the source date and zones and resolve any ambiguous-time option before recording the destination time.
Scope of this workflow
This everyday scheduling workflow relies on the browser’s zone database. It is not a fixed-offset table or a recurring meeting service.
