How to use Text & Code Case Converter

  1. Paste a phrase, identifier or list of names. Existing underscores, hyphens and camel-case boundaries can become word separators.
  2. Choose a case style and decide whether each line should be handled independently.
  3. Review the live output and character counts. Move the result into the input for another conversion, or restore the previous input before exporting.

When to use this tool

Turn a label into a variable name, normalize a list of identifiers or prepare filename slugs. Check acronym handling and punctuation before using generated identifiers in code.

Choose a case style for the destination

camelCase and PascalCase join words for code identifiers. snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case and dot.case use separators. Title case capitalizes detected words; it does not implement a publication's editorial rules. Sentence case preserves punctuation and spacing while lowercasing text and capitalizing sentence starts. Uppercase and lowercase leave separators in place.

snake_case: http_response_user_name
kebab-case: http-response-user-name

Limits and output checks

Identifier modes intentionally discard punctuation and cannot recover your original spelling. Unicode letters are supported, but language-specific sentence segmentation and title-casing rules vary. Always review acronyms, proper names and API keys before replacing source text.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert a list without joining its lines?

Select the line-by-line setting. Each line is tokenized and converted independently, including blank lines.

Will sentence case remove punctuation?

No. Sentence case keeps punctuation and whitespace. Identifier-oriented modes such as snake_case intentionally rebuild words.

Can I undo moving output to input?

Use Restore input after moving the result. This is a local single-step restore, not an unlimited edit history.

Review names after changing their case

Choose a prose or identifier mode and use line-by-line processing for independent entries. Review acronyms and proper names before copying the result.

Scope of this workflow

Identifier transformations can discard punctuation and cannot reconstruct original spelling. Language-specific title and sentence conventions are not universal.
