These are starter templates, not audited production configuration. Review dependencies, container security, licenses and secrets before deployment. ZIP library loads from CDN.

How to use Project Scaffold Configuration Generator

  1. Enter a simple project name, description, stack and port.
  2. Select the configuration files you need. Optionally add a Docker build ignore file.
  3. Generate, select a filename and inspect its contents. Download the selected file or export the collection.

When to use this tool

Prepare individual starter configuration files for a small project. Review paths, dependencies, environment variables and deployment choices before using the templates in a repository.

Configuration templates need application code

A scaffold here is a set of configuration examples. Node templates expect a package manifest and lockfile, Python expects requirements.txt and app.py, and Go expects a buildable package. The static container serves on port 80. A Docker ignore template excludes common local secrets and dependency folders from the build context.

Worked example

Stack: Node; port: 3000
Dockerfile expects package*.json and an npm start script.
.env.example contains PORT=3000, not real credentials.

Limits and output checks

The generator does not create application source, install dependencies, build containers or verify image availability. Review base image versions, build commands and license placeholders before use. The selected-file download avoids requiring the ZIP library.

Reference: Docker build context exclusions.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a runnable application?

No. Supply your own application source, manifests and dependencies before using the generated build instructions.

Can I download only one file?

Yes. Select it in the file list and use Download selected file.

Does dockerignore replace gitignore?

No. Docker build context exclusions and Git tracking exclusions serve different purposes. Review both for your project.

Starter configuration is not an application

Choose the available project settings and inspect the generated files before downloading a selected file or ZIP. Supply application source and dependencies separately.

Scope of this workflow

Generated build instructions and image placeholders have not been executed or validated for your project. No installation, container build or source generation occurs here.
