This scenario does not validate exit rules or tax exemption. Deduction figures require your own eligibility and available limits.
Calculations run in this browser. A Share link contains input values in its URL; review it before sharing private financial or health information. Currency selection changes notation, not exchange rates.
When to use this calculator
Explore how contribution levels, retirement age and an assumed return affect an illustrative retirement corpus. Change the annuity allocation to compare scenarios, then check the rules and annuity quote applicable to your situation separately.
Review the worked example and assumptions below, then use the supported report or copy controls to keep the result with its inputs. Calculations run in this browser; a shared URL can include the values you entered.
How to use NPS Corpus & Annuity Scenario Calculator
- Enter current/projected exit ages, a monthly contribution and an assumed investment return.
- Choose annual-rate convention, annuity share and an illustrative annuity payout rate.
- Inspect the corpus, lump-sum and monthly payout estimates. Export results; verify eligibility and current rules separately.
A projected allocation is not a regulatory entitlement
Contributions grow at the selected monthly rate. The annuity share allocates part of the resulting corpus; a simple annual payout-rate assumption divided by twelve estimates monthly income. Actual exit provisions vary by subscriber sector, corpus and event, and have changed. An annuity provider's quote can depend on survivor benefits, return of purchase price and other terms.
Worked example
Illustrative corpus: INR 1,000,000
Annuity share: 40%; payout assumption: 6% yearly
Annuity corpus: INR 400,000
Simple monthly payout estimate: INR 2,000Assumptions and limits
This does not enforce current exit eligibility, pension quotes, taxes or withdrawal exemptions. Do not interpret every projected lump sum as tax-free. Contribution deduction illustrations are opt-in and do not establish unused deduction capacity.

Frequently asked questions
Must every subscriber use a 60/40 split?
No universal split is assumed here. Rules depend on the subscriber and exit circumstances; use the official PFRDA guidance relevant to your case.
Is the monthly pension a quote?
No. It is annuity corpus times the chosen annual payout assumption divided by twelve.
Are modeled returns guaranteed?
No. A constant return is a scenario assumption and ignores market variation, fees and actual allocation performance.
Separate the corpus scenario from exit eligibility
Inspect contribution, return and annuity assumptions as entered in the interface. Keep the selected assumptions with any copied result.
Scope of this workflow
The page does not enforce current exit eligibility or provide a pension quote. Projected lump sums and deduction illustrations do not establish tax treatment.
