0 pagesFiles are processed in this browser. Supporting libraries, workers and optional OCR models load from third-party CDNs. Files must be non-empty and no larger than 50 MB. Keep the original: editing can invalidate digital signatures, and rebuilding pages may not preserve forms, bookmarks or document metadata.
When to use Merge PDF Files Online
Combine an application form and supporting documents into one PDF. Set the source order and page ranges before creating the combined document.
How to use this PDF tool
- Add the PDFs you want to combine. The page accepts up to 20 files, each no larger than 50 MB.
- Arrange the file list in reading order and select page ranges where required.
- Choose a filename and review the optional watermark setting.
- Choose Merge PDFs, download the result and check page count, order and content.
A practical example
For a submission packet, place the application first, followed by supporting evidence and scanned receipts. Check that only the intended pages are included before sending it.
Plan a seven-page PDF packet before merging
Page ranges refer to each source PDF, not the final packet's page numbers. First arrange the source files, then choose the pages within each file.
| File order | Source selection | Expected position in output |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Application, at least two pages | 1-2 | Pages 1–2 |
| 2. Supporting evidence, at least five pages | 2,4-5 | Pages 3–5 |
| 3. Receipts, at least two pages | 1-2 | Pages 6–7 |
- Add your PDFs and put the application first, evidence second and receipts third. Use Set page range for each source selection above.
- Check the page count: 2 + 3 + 2 = 7. Blank ranges include every page; overlapping selections can repeat a page, so avoid listing the same source page twice unless intended.
- Review the optional watermark checkbox and filename before merging. Check the downloaded packet's first page, section boundaries and final page against the plan.
- If continuous visible numbering is required, use Add Page Numbers on the merged copy. Merging does not replace numbers already printed on the source pages.
The combined input-size limit is 200 MiB, in addition to the per-file and file-count limits. A smaller selection of pages does not make an oversized input file eligible. Keep signed originals separately; a newly assembled packet is not evidence that their signatures or interactive features survived.
For receipts that start as photos, prepare them with Document Scanner first. For a packet that also needs annotations, use PDF Studio.
Output and document limits
Copying pages into a new PDF can affect document-level bookmarks, metadata and interactive forms. Editing can invalidate existing digital signatures. Keep the source files and inspect the combined copy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the order before combining PDFs?
Yes. Arrange the file list before merging. Review the output afterward, especially when using page ranges.
Will forms and digital signatures be preserved?
Do not assume they will. Rebuilding a document can affect interactive features and invalidate signatures. Retain the original documents.
